We show a first-party cookie banner where you can accept or decline analytics-related tags. If you accept, we update Google consent mode and load Google Analytics 4. Essential tools that keep forms and the site secure are not optional.

Why tools like Lighthouse may list many cookies

Your analytics choice is stored in local storage (key dba_cookie_consent), not as a first-party HTTP cookie, so it does not add to a “cookies found” count. After you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* on designedbyanthony.com to measure aggregate traffic and engagement. Tools such as Cloudflare Turnstile (on forms) and Sentry (error monitoring in production) add their own requests; Turnstile may set security-related cookies on Cloudflare’s domains once a protected form is engaged.

For a baseline with fewer marketing cookies, use Decline on the banner or Cookie settings in the footer, then reload; for an apples-to-apples Lighthouse run, test in a fresh browser profile or after clearing site data so the stored choice matches the scenario you want.

How we use these technologies

We use a small number of first-party and third-party tools to remember your consent choice, protect forms from abuse, support on-demand tools like scheduling, and understand site usage when you allow analytics.

Essential storage and security

These technologies are required for the site to function securely and cannot be turned off through the site interface.

• Consent and preference storage — We store your analytics choice in the browser (for example via local storage) so we do not keep asking on every visit.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — Used on forms and the audit tool to reduce spam and automated abuse. Cloudflare may set security-related cookies or similar identifiers when those tools are loaded.

Analytics

These tools load only if you accept analytics in the on-site banner.

• Google Analytics 4 — May set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to measure aggregate traffic and engagement after you accept.

Maintaining analytics: The site uses the direct gtag.js loader for measurement ID G-4RSTBMRHDW. Do not re-add Google Tag Manager, session replay, or heatmap tags unless this policy, the privacy policy, and the Content-Security-Policy allowlist are updated together.

On-demand third-party tools

These services are only loaded when you actively choose to use them.

• Calendly — Loaded when you open the scheduling modal or follow a booking link.
• Contact shortcuts — The sticky “Get in touch” control opens an on-page dialog with links to the contact form, phone, email, and scheduling. Optional live chat (GetStream) loads only when enabled in site settings and may set cookies for session continuity.

Manage cookie preferences

You can review or change your choice anytime: use Cookie settings in the site footer (or the banner when it appears), which clears your saved choice so you can accept or decline again.
